Workability I is a California school and community based program working to benefit the community, employers, and students while successfully meeting the needs of the local job market.
Participating employers receive the following benefits when employing students from the Workability program:
- Screened job ready workers
- Workers whose skills and interests are assessed and matched to employers needs
- Student wages and workman's compensation paid/ or shared
- On-going support services to students
The goal of the Workability I Program is to promote the involvement of key stakeholders, students, employers, and other agencies, in planning and implementing an array of services that will culminate in successful transition to employment and entrepreneurship
