David began his culinary career at the age of 6 when he helped his mother make some chocolate chip cookies from scratch and was amazed at how someone could mix together butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and other yummy ingredients, pop the morsels of dough into the oven and create a delicious, gooey treat. He was hooked. Surrounded by an appreciative family, it wasn’t long before David was preparing entire meals.
He began working in commercial kitchens learning and doing everything he could, ranging from line-cooking, prep, Garde Manger, pastry, banquets - whatever was required of him. He would often try something new in a restaurant and then go home and duplicate it.
David’s proficiency is built on 35 years of experience in bakeries, fine dining restaurants, a hotel and convention center, the diverse kitchens of Washington State Univerisity’s Sudent Union, the Black Oak Casino, as well as assorted catering operations.
